Norotshama River is situated in the great valley of the Karas region in southern Namibia, along the banks of the Orange River.
The design includes a series of accommodation and administrative facilities and is defined by its natural materiality which transitions harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. Small private luxury units float over their natural surrounds, looking over waterways and deserts. Glass facades open up towards the unique Namibian views and eliminate boundaries between inside and outside spaces. Local timber and stone materiality characterise the buildings and blend the scheme into its exquisite setting.
